About
Rev. John Eugene Miller has been a pastor for 30 years, serving congregations with a heart for ministry, discipleship, and recovery. He is currently the pastor of Spencer Church of the Nazarene in Spencer, West Virginia, after serving for 12 years as the pastor of Wahiawa Community Church of the Nazarene in Central Oahu, Hawaii.
John lives with his wife, Carla, and their son, Peter Flint. Their daughter, Jeda Joy, attends MVNU in Ohio. He and Carla have been married for 31 years, and their oldest son, John Hunter, serves in the US Army.
In addition to pastoring and writing, Rev. Miller is the producer and director of Nazkine TV, an exciting and growing brand in Christian media. He holds a Master’s Degree from Point Loma Nazarene University in San Diego, CA, and has dedicated his life to helping people overcome their past, embrace healing, and pursue the desires God has placed in their hearts.
A Story of Redemption & Recovery
Rev. Miller’s journey is one of grace, redemption, and transformation. Having endured childhood traumas and self-inflicted wounds, he knows firsthand the struggles of addiction, pain, and brokenness. For many years, he used alcohol to numb the pain of his past, leading to two divorces, two DUIs, and a court-ordered recovery program.
But by God’s grace, his story didn’t end there. Through his journey of healing and faith, he found sobriety and restoration—and has now lived in freedom for 32 years. Today, he continues to work on his own recovery while helping others overcome their hurts, habits, and hangups.
As a leader of Celebrate Recovery at Wahiawa Community Church, Rev. Miller has guided many through the process of breaking free from addiction and pain, proving that God’s grace gives second chances and new beginnings.
